PAT EKLUND · PROTECTING OUR QUALITY OF LIFE

Not Just a View — A Vision

PRESERVING WHAT MAKES NOVATO FEEL LIKE HOME

Protecting our community, while moving Novato forward.

Pat Eklund got into local government because of a stop sign — a dangerous intersection near her home that City Hall wouldn’t fix. That fight taught her a lesson she’s carried for decades: government works best when it listens to the people who actually live here.

That same instinct is why Pat has spent her time on the Novato City Council, and as Mayor, protecting the hillsides and open space that make our town feel like a town — not another stretch of suburban sprawl. She’s worked to keep our ridgelines undeveloped, our views open, and our neighborhoods surrounded by the natural land that drew so many of us here in the first place.

Pat has also brought fresh life to Novato without sacrificing what makes it special — helping bring the Novato Arts Center and the Hamilton Museum to life, and forging agreements with businesses to revitalize our downtown and Hamilton. Growth and preservation aren’t opposites; done right, they go hand in hand — and Novato’s hillsides and natural beauty are worth protecting every step of the way.

Pat believes we can build the housing our families can afford without diminishing our quality of life — smart, thoughtful growth in the right places, so our kids and grandkids can afford to stay in the community they grew up in, while the hillsides that define Novato stay beautiful.
