Pat got into local government because of a stop sign — a dangerous intersection City Hall wouldn’t fix. That taught her a lesson she’s never forgotten: government works best when it listens to the people who actually live here, and falls short when it answers only to the loudest voices.
This year she worked to pass a balanced $62.6 million budget, thanks to Measure M, that puts Novato’s finances on honest footing — funding road repair, public safety, emergency response, and parks. On homelessness, she’s worked on solutions like helping Homeward Bound get started and grow; and backed the SAFE program helping move two dozen neighbors from tents into permanent, supportive housing.
